Vehicles and cargo inspection
At airports, ports of entry, bus terminals, metro stations, and train stations these days, we frequently hear warnings about potential terrorist attacks. A transportation system has not yet experienced this particular form of terrorism. Terrorist attacks’ primary targets include vehicles, rail stations, airplanes, and other forms of transportation. Terrorists frequently conceal weapons, explosives, and contraband inside trucks, large vans, freight containers, or even inside human body cavities. We cannot merely accept new attacks as an inevitable part of life. Attacks by terrorists on the transportation network can be repelled.
However, a new method will be necessary for effective transportation counterterrorism. The new approach should rely on X-ray security equipment for goods, cars, and people being fully scanned. In addition to providing protection against flaws in transportation security, the new X-ray security systems will discourage terrorists by raising doubts about their prospects of being apprehended.
Transport vehicles are pervasive, passing through industrial areas, major population centers, across borders, and (in the case of mail and express delivery services) to almost every home, company, and government office in the nation almost unnoticed. As a result, it is crucial to offer transportation systems a high level of security.
